3-Day Adventure Tour of the Wild and Wonderful Westfjords!

As you venture into this remote area, far from the busier tourist trails, you'll witness mountains towering above bright blue fjords and traverse thrilling coastal roads. Sit back and relax as our experienced guides lead you to the best sights this region has to offer.

The journey begins with a pick-up from the capital, followed by a visit to Eiriksstaðir to explore local Viking history. From there, we'll embark on the coastal road, stopping at the Coastall Cliffs, the gateway to the Westfjords, and the Vatnsfjörður Natural Reserve, filled with canyons and waterfalls. Optional bathing in the geothermal swimming pool called Krosslaug at Birkimel bay is also available. Lastly, we'll pass by the towering Kleifaheiði monument, one of the many mountain passages, before staying overnight in the Patreksfjörður area.

On the second day, prepare to be amazed by the picturesque cliffs at Látrabjarg, a haven for bird spotting. Explore the colorful sandy beaches at Rauðasandur and witness the grandeur of Dynjandi, the greatest waterfall in the area. Take a stroll down the pier at Öndunarfjörður before spending the night in Ísafjörður, the capital of the Westfjords.

The third day begins at Bólungvarvik, where three major attractions await. Visit the top of Bolafjall Mountain, where a new viewing platform with a skywalk offers breathtaking views. Explore the charming lighthouse and fishing village at Ósvör. Journey through the Seven Fjords on the northern coast, stopping at scenic viewpoints to search for seals and whales and admire the unspoiled wilderness of Hornstrandir. Keep an eye out for wildlife, including whales, birds, seals, and arctic foxes. A visit to the Fox Center will contribute to the protection of Iceland's only native mammal. Finally, we'll make our way back to Reykjavík, arriving around 8-9 pm.

Prepare for an unforgettable experience as you witness Iceland at its best, exploring the wonders of the Westfjords and creating memories that will last a lifetime.
